Mindful Parenting

Much of what we do as parents seems instinctive, yet it is actually learned – from what we experienced as infants and young children, and what we have observed when others are caring for young children. All parents can learn to be intentional in their parenting so that their children grow to be socially and emotionally healthy. They can also learn to reflect on their own experiences to more fully understand why they respond as they do as parents. It is often valuable to have professional guidance when seeking to understand ourselves.
